The annual Quran competition at our school is a cherished event, celebrating the Islamic academic growth of our students from grades K-8. This competition is not only a testament to the dedication and hard work of our students but also emphasizes the importance of instilling a deep connection with the Quran from a young age. By participating, students enhance their memorization, recitation, and understanding of the Quran, fostering a lifelong appreciation for its teachings. The Annual Quran Competition has become a cornerstone of TIS, reflecting our commitment to nurturing our youth. Our students compete, showcasing their exceptional talent and God-given gift of Quran memorization and recitation.

Our goal is to attract students who are motivated to continually memorize the Quran and perfect their Tajweed to compete to in order to excel!
Participants' competition grade is comprised of 75% for memorization and 25% for recitation.
If any contestant scores less than 60/100 in the total score he/she will automatically be disqualified.
The competition will be held at the school during the Quran class time.
Stress the importance of the Book of Allah SWT in memorization, Tajweed, and Tilawah.
Provide an appropriate educational environment for students who are goal driven to excel in the memorization and Tajweed of the Holy Quran.
To promote the Quranic education in the Muslim-American community.
