TIS opened its doors to the Indianapolis Muslim Community in August of 2015. The school’s mission was to offer parents the choice to enroll their children in a school with an emphasis on teaching Arabic, Quran, and Islamic Studies in addition to the state curriculum. The goal of the parents and members of the school was to have a Quran centered education for their children. Our school began with only pre-school and kindergarten, 15 students, two teachers and one part-time principal. Alhamdullilah, our school has now grown to nearly 100 students in grades PreK through 8 in the 2023-2024 school year.
