4th, 6th Grade Social Studies & 5th Grade Science

Nouran Hawamdeh is an excited teacher with experience working with 1st-6th graders at multiple schools as a volunteer and as an internship student, which made her realize how much she loves teaching. 

Thrilled to be teaching 4th, 5th, & 6th grade at TIS and to be part of such a warm and dynamic community, Islamic Academy of Indianapolis is a wonderful place to teach and learn. 

Striving to create a caring, safe, and engaging learning environment, which encourages students to believe in themselves and to do their personal best.

Nouran grew up in Palestine and received her Bachelor’s Degree in English Language and Literature with a minor in Education from Al-Quds Open University, Dura. 

After graduating, she got married and moved to the United States of America.

She has been teaching social studies to both 4th and 6th graders, and science to 5th graders at TIS since the beginning of this year.

Outside of teaching, Nouran enjoys drawing, listening to audio books and spending time with her family and friends.
